Because at Sundog Ranch it's all about the horse, you can rest assured that your horse will enjoy a safe, clean environment.  We check all gates and fencing daily, making repairs as necessary.  Highly visible wood and electrobraid fencing ensures that your horse will stay put.  Inside the barn you will find open, airy stalls, non-slip rubber mats, and plenty of room to get horses in and out.

Horses are turned out daily, weather permitting.  We have ample pastures and can accommodate individual and small herd turnout.  Your horse will be matched with a suitable paddock mate and pasture herd.

 

We have a separate hay barn, well away from the horse barn.  Grain and supplements are stored in a secure area, inaccessible to horses.  During the winter, we utilize a generator devoted to power and water so that, even during the worst Northern Michigan storms, the horses will have fresh water in heated buckets.

Our First Aid Center is fully stocked, so in the event your horse gets a minor cut or scrape, we can treat it.  We will always tell you if that happens, and will call you and the vet should something more serious arise.
